In an effort to increase civic awareness, State School Superintendent Richard Woods and the Georgia Department of Education are distributing pocket copies of the Constitution to every fourth grader in Georgia.
In honor of Constitution Day, every fourth grader at Cross Creek Elementary School had the opportunity to sign a replica of the Constitution with a quill pen. The students were surprised to be greeted by Principal Clay Stanaland and Assistant Principal Brecca Pope, who were dressed up as Benjamin Franklin and George Washington, respectively.
