As the leader of Georgia's schools, Richard Woods brings both an educational and business experience to the position. Superintendent Woods has over 24 years of pre-k through 12th grade experience in public education, serving as a veteran educator and school leader. Additionally, Woods has been a lead purchasing agent for a national/multi-national laser company and a former small business owner, bringing a strategic focus on efficiency and effectiveness to the agency he leads.
