Superintendent Woods proposes package of measures to increase transparency

Actions to reduce burden on teachers, empower parents, strengthen school-community partnerships

Just last week, I proposed a package of measures to increase transparency -- empowering our parents and letting our teachers teach!

• District budget must be posted on their website homepages
• Any district/school purchased curriculum or instructional materials must be reported
• Any district/school purchased testing programs must be reported
• Timely access to student records by parents/guardians
• Public comment/review before surveys from contracted third parties, research studies, or grants can be given. Students have the option of opting out.
