Woods: We can't keep adding to teachers' plates
Last week, I spoke to local school board members from across the state.
My message: We can’t keep adding to the plates of teachers.
The roles of counselor, social worker, nurse, and school psychologist, etc. cannot keep falling to our teachers. Teachers are the academic experts – let them be and let them teach!
There’s no lack of testing or instructional programs – there are too many! Our schools must reduce the redundancy.
